Terms & Conditions
1. ACCEPTANCE & RESPONSIBILITY

It is the guests' responsibility to read all Terms and Conditions prior to making a booking.

Payment of the Deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. CANCELLATION OR VARIATION
-
All cancellations must be notified in writing.
-
An Administration Fee of up to $50 may be charged for any variations or cancellations.
-
Cancellations made between 84 and 57 days (12 to 8 weeks) before arrival incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the booking; those made between 56 and 29 days (8 to 4 weeks) before arrival will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking; Cancellations less than 29 days out, and early departures, will be charged for the total stay booked, unless the property is subsequently rebooked for the entire period. In this case a cancellation fee of 15% of the total tariff will apply.

A booking may be transferred once, to any other available date, more than 28 days prior to the accommodation commencement date. Any difference in value must be paid if the new dates are greater in value. An administration fee applies.

Any eligible refund will be credited to your bank account via the payment method linked to your Booking.

We have a minimum stay policy of 2 nights. No refund will override this policy.
3. CHECK IN/ OUT

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am, unless otherwise arranged.

Please notify us of expected arrival time and a mobile contact number at least 7 days before arrival.

Once full payment has been received, you will be sent directions for getting to the property and instructions for collecting the key. When checking out, simply lock all the doors and windows and exit and lock the main entry door, returning the key to its original location.

4. PAYMENT

A booking deposit of 50% of the total tariff is required to confirm your reservation and this payment forms part of the total tariff payable.

The balance of the tariff is due 28 days prior to occupancy. Where your stay commences in less than 4 weeks from the time of Booking, the full amount must be paid in full up front.

The tariff can be paid by deposit / transfer, credit card or PayPal. The credit card authorisation can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Diners or American Express.

Wilderberry staff do not have access to guests' encrypted data stored securely by eWAY or PayPal.
5. REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT (CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION HOLD)
For bookings made after 5th August, 2024

Credit card authorization hold: 7 days prior to your arrival, a security deposit charge of $400 will be applied in the form of a on your credit card. This hold will secure funds to cover any potential damages, excessive cleaning costs, or incidental charges that may arise during your stay. The authorization hold will be released within 7 days after your departure, provided that no such charges are assessed. Please note that the actual time it takes for the funds to be available in your account after your departure may vary depending on your financial institution. By booking with us, you agree to this security deposit policy and authorize us to apply the necessary hold on your credit card.

A security deposit (Refundable Damage Deposit or RDD) of $400 is payable prior to occupancy. Any unpaid Refundable Security Deposit amounts will be invoiced in the week before your stay.

This amount will be credited back to you within 7 working days of your departure, once Wilderberry has been inspected and found to be in a similar state to your arrival.

Any damage, loss or expense incurred by Wilderberry may be charged against the RDD. Examples of this include any breakage, damage, excess cleaning requirements, stain treatment or replacement of linen or unregistered guests.

Lost keys are $20. A lost or damaged remote control is $100. Guests will be charged the replacement value of sheets or towels permanently stained by massage oil, fake tan, hair colourant etc.
6. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

If your stay cannot proceed on the booked dates due to a pandemic outbreak it is your duty to communicate with Wilderberry admin as early as practicably possible. Your request for a booking alteration must be received in writing. We will happily arrange a date swap or issue a credit to the value of your booked stay.

If Wilderberry becomes unavailable for your occupancy due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. fire, storm, damage, etc) we will inform you immediately and do our best to obtain suitable alternative accommodation for you. If we cannot, any moneys paid will be refunded in full.

If any electrical or other device breaks down during your stay, it should be reported as soon as possible and reasonable attempts will be made to repair the item in question. We will make every effort to minimise any inconvenience; however, we cannot issue partial refunds or give discounts due to such occurrences. If a major problem renders Wilderberry uninhabitable, we will make every effort to find alternative suitable accommodation for you. We cannot be held responsible for failure or interruption to power or services to the cottage for reasons beyond our control.
7. HOUSE RULES

Parties or functions are not allowed unless previously agreed with Wilderberry management.

Accommodation is for two (2) adults and additional charges will apply if unregistered guests stay overnight.

We ask guests to respect our neighbours' right to quiet enjoyment of the environment.

Wilderberry relies on tank water. Please conserve water in periods of low rain.
8. LINEN AND TOWELS
-
All supplied linen, pillows, blankets and towels are to be left in the bedroom or bathroom on departure (please leave used towels and robes in the bathtub). Please note we do not supply beach towels.
9. PETS
-
Pets are not allowed.
10. CHILDREN
-
The property is not suitable for children.
11. SMOKING
-
Please note that smoking is not allowed inside, or around the property. Fees for cleaning or deodorising will apply if guests or visitors disregard this rule.
12. DEPARTURE CHECK-LIST
-
Guests must leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

All food must be removed from the fridge and all rubbish put in the appropriate wheelie bin behind the carport.
-
Wash and pack away crockery, pots & pans or stack any remaining items carefully in the dishwasher and switch it on before leaving.
-
Extra cleaning charges may apply for the cleaning of dirty dishes, dishwasher, emptying the fridge, removal of excessive rubbish etc.

Switch off all appliances, lights and heating before leaving; the dishwasher will switch off automatically.
-
Leave all furniture and furnishings in the position they were in when you arrived.
-
Please leave used towels and robes in the bathtub.
-
If you leave any items behind - we may pass on the cost of returning them to you.
13. PROBLEMS OR COMPLAINTS

If any problems arise, please inform us at the earliest opportunity so we have the chance to rectify the situation as quickly and efficiently as possible. You must allow repair/service access to the property during reasonable hours.

14. PRIVACY POLICY

Any information you provide to us is strictly for purposes related to your booking and will not be shared with any third party.
